Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and have since been released.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
